Welcome to FreebieList.com's free fonts section. The Internet is cram packed with fonts, available for both PC and Mac users (although unfortunately for Apple Mac users, many are PC-based). Nevertheless, there still exists a sizable selection for Mac users, so don't feel too disheartened! The font resources we review below include freeware fonts (free with no restrictions) and in some cases, shareware fonts (with some licensing limitations). To avoid breaking the rules, be sure to check the licensing agreement before you begin using a font on your new project. If you happen to stumble across an outdated link, we'd very much appreciate it if you could report it.
Search Free Fonts - An easy-to-browse and high quality free fonts Web site, offering thousands of fonts to download in A-Z categories. Search Free Fonts also provides a number of different font-related tools, such as a font creator program and some interesting articles. All the fonts located here come in a compressed ".zip" format and have preview pictures, so you can see how they look before you download.
DailyFreeFonts.com - This site provides a large collection of free fonts and neatly organises them into an A-Z format. In addition to this, DailyFreeFonts.com also categorises fonts by theme, so if you're looking for a particular style of font, you'll likely find it here. The site is updated regularly with fresh, new fonts, so be sure to check back regularly. A search engine feature is also provided, along with links to other free fonts sites.

Excellent Free Fonts - There are many free fonts available on the Net,
but how many actually cut the mustard? If you're a designer who's strapped
for cash, check out this site for a round-up of the hottest freebie fonts.
You'll find a great description of each font that will help you to decide
where and when you should use it, along with some image examples to help
you get a feel for the typeface.

Dingbat Pages - If you're looking for free dingbat fonts (fonts that
display pictures rather than letters when certain keys are pressed), then
this is the place to go. The Dingbat Pages is a resource for all things
dingbat-related and includes various categorised listings, including: Alien,
Ancient, Arts, Media, Beings, Business, Cool Dings, Creatures, Games, Holiday,
Ornaments and lots more besides. The site manages to cram pack lots of useful
information onto the home page without looking cluttered.

1001 Fonts - This nicely designed Web site is home to thousands of free TrueType and PostScript fonts for both Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh operating systems. You'll find various font categories here, ranging from calligraphic and handwritten to fixed width and retro. There's also dozens of other areas that you can explore, such as a message board, site tour and chat room. You'll also find a selection of shareware fonts at this site.
FindmyFonts.com - This free fonts site allows you to preview and then download all kinds of freeware, shareware and demo fonts. Their search facility is particularly impressive and will display a sentence of your choosing in almost any font you wish, so you can see how it might look in a publication. The site features a large number of fonts in various categories, including picture, basic, script, symbol and holiday fonts.
Larabie
Free Fonts - Here, you can download free Windows TrueType fonts courtesy
of master font designer, Ray Larabie. For all of them, you'll need a compression
tool such as WinZip to extract the files. If you don't already possess a
compression utility, head on over to our freeware section for some of the
Net's best free ZIP tools. Larabie Fonts
also has a handy font forum and a simple, easy-to-navigate and attractive
design.

fonts. To access the free fonts section, follow "Free Fonts" link and then
follow the instructions.
Fontennium - Here, you'll find a number of zipped font files ready to download. Fontennium offers free fonts from centuries gone by, such as Celtic fonts, Roman fonts, Egyptian fonts, Magic-style fonts, etc. The site is fast-loading, well-organised and pleasantly designed. Their collection of fonts/dingbats is equally as impressive - with some of the most unique font downloads available anywhere on the Internet.
Web Font List - At this site, you'll find over 3000 TrueType fonts to download, in many creative categories. Some examples of the sections here include: "Cartoonish" Fonts, Classic Fonts, Graffiti Fonts, Messy Fonts, "Roundish" Fonts, Thin Fonts, etc. Please note that shareware fonts are listed amongst the freeware fonts, so before usage, please take note of which version you've downloaded (shareware fonts usually have some restrictions).
Blue Vinyl Fonts - Provides a handy selection of freeware and commercial fonts that are ideal for use on printed documents or within images. Apple Macintosh users will be happy to hear they are catered for as much as Microsoft Windows users here, with all fonts being available on both operating systems. Blue Vinyl Fonts also has a great message board and a guestbook for site posting feedback for the Webmaster.
Fonts & Things - Here, you'll find a collection of the most unusual fonts online. Fonts & Things categorises their fonts alphabetically and also provides full colour previews of how the font will look before you download it. The FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section is particularly useful for beginners and explains how to download, de-compress, install and then use new fonts.
Free Halloween Fonts - "Fontenstein" is an exciting and well-designed free Halloween fonts site, with a ton of spooky freeware fonts ready for download. If you're creating a Halloween themed publication, logo or newsletter, you're sure to find a suitable font here. To begin browsing, follow the A-Z navigation system. This site includes fonts for Windows, although they provide instructions on how to convert fonts for a Mac.
Beautiful Fonts - Offers a collection of free fonts organised alphabetically. BeautifulFonts.com shows a preview of each font before you download it, so you can get a feel of how it will look.
