Free Pleiades Star Cluster Wallpaper - At the National Geographic site you can grab a wallpaper image of the beautiful star cluster known as the Pleiades (or "Seven Sisters"). "The cluster, located some 400 light-years away, formed about 100 million years ago. It contains thousands of stars but gets its name from seven of its brightest members". To download this inspiring image, follow the "Wallpaper" link below the preview picture, then select your screen resolution size to download.
Moodflow - Offers a truly mesmerizing collection of free desktop wallpaper images, featuring "as imagined" scenes of distant worlds. To access these wallpapers, follow the "Wallpapers" link on their home page. Most of the wallpapers are 1024x768 or 1600x1200 pixels in size. Free Astronomy Screensaver - At this site, you can download Robert Gregory Garfinkle's "Astronomy 2005 Screensaver". This fabulous freeware screensaver displays spellbinding images of the cosmos, all captured by NASA and numerous other space organisations. Install this program and marvel at the stars of The Pleiades, the rings of Saturn, nebulas and galaxies. Two versions are available: High Res (45MB) and Low Res (11MB).

Free fonts are also available at IconsPLUS, along with some unique desktop patterns.
FreeSaver.com - One of the few "true" free screensaver sites on the Internet. FreeSaver.com has 16 categories containing over 1600 free screensavers for users of Microsoft Windows. And, unlike most screensaver sites claiming to be "free", FreeSaver.com only offers freeware screensavers that have been checked for viruses, spyware and adware. This site also features a screensaver section dedicated to Mac users, and a nifty search feature.
Freeloader Free Screensavers - At Freeloader's site, you'll find a neat selection of high quality free screensavers. These screen savers are completely free to download and will function on all Microsoft Windows computers, although Mac users will need to select the versions made specifically for them. As well as screensavers, this site serves up some fantastic freebie games.
Free Winamp Skins - The popular audio player, Winamp, is possibly one of the most skinnable programs you'll find on the Internet. Here, you will find hundreds of skins to download free of charge. Their directory of downloadable skins is extensive and some of the categories include: abstract, anime, movies, retro, sports, music, etc. Designers can also submit their own skins for addition.
